5 Days in Seoul: Day 2 - Gyeongbokgung, Bukchon Hanok Village, and Insadong (Part 3 of 3)

Bukchon Hanok Village to Insadong

As I said in Part 2, we already passed through Insadong from Gyeongbokgung on our way to Bukchon Hanok Village. So to get from Bukchon Hanok Village to Insadong, we simply had to retrace our steps. But since we're in a different area in Bukchon than where we entered it, we asked help from Tourist Assistance (they're people wearing red polo shirts around Bukchon Hanok Village and they speak English).

We were almost in Anguk Station when we heard three men talking in Tagalog. I went right past them because they're smoking but Lyn recognized the voice and true enough, it was her friend who's currently working in Seoul and resides near the area. What a coincidence! And so, they walked with us to Insadong.

Reaching Anguk Station, we walked in and tried to retrace our steps. When I googled Insadong from Anguk Station, it says there that we're way too far from it. Lyn got confused because when we entered the station earlier, we already saw an arrow pointing towards Exit 6 to Insadong, so something fishy is going on here. We scratched Google maps and went towards Exit 6. True enough, we reached Insadong in no time.

Lesson learned: Google can be a bummer at times.

A few steps into Insadong, I already saw some interesting stuff which I bought. There are also street food but we didn't eat any because 1. we're still quite full from our late lunch and 2. we're reserving our stomachs for the dinner at BHC Chicken.
